SOUTH AFRICA, Somerset East, S E M , Municipality beer hall check for Bantus "Kaffir Beer" in brown fibre for 3d, undated but issued 1938-56, (T.C80; M.524; Hern 560c)(2); Victoria East, J.Parkes, wine merchant threepence in cupro-nickel (farthing size) H W on truncation, undated but circa 1872 (T.C83; M.596; Hern 418a) (illus). Very fine, the second rare. (3)
